My interest in tennis came to life at age 6 when I picked a racket and began swinging. My passion for the sport took a grip on me quickly and it’s only grown since. My coaches have praised me for my never give up attitude. I leave it all on the court. As a player and team leader, I’ve been able to help spread that attitude among my varsity teammates. Through tennis, I’ve learned practice is everything, everyone has good and bad days and champions are made both on and off the court.
Off the court, I lead a nationally recognized charity, serve as an Assistant Scoutmaster after achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and participate in a huge variety of 4-H activities. I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to develop my leadership skills, use them in real life situations, and learn from them.
I look forward to a college team experience that lets me learn from not only the coaches, but the other players too. A lot of time is spent training, practicing, and competing so building a home away from home with teammates is an important part of my college experience.
