In elementary school I started playing many different sports; besides tennis I also played rugby, soccer, and swimming, I was not sure that tennis would be my main sport until I started playing on the High School varsity team. Being part of a team and helping junior players has made me realize that I love playing tennis to the extent that I have focused on tennis exclusively. I enjoy both the physical and mental aspects of tennis.
I have read books such as 'Art of War' and 'Inner Game of Tennis' to help me understand and overcome mental challenges of the sport. Planning and preparation are key to winning a match. Thus, I try to understand anatomy and physiology to help me strengthen my muscles to play better. I also restring my own rackets to try and control and see the impact of different tension and flexibility of the strings.
I aspire to study science and continue playing and excelling my tennis in college. I believe healthy minds stand on healthy bodies.
