Teodor Bortan '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Teodor Bortan!

I am a rising junior at Hopkins, a competitive private school in Connecticut. I firmly believe in the importance of my education and always put in the best effort to succeed in whatever comes my way academically. Hopkins, for better or worse, has also made me develop good time management skills in order to accommodate all of my studies and practices on any given day. 

As for tennis- for the past 6 years, I have been lucky to play tennis through a team. Whether it was through a match with my high school team or other national team events, I have learned that tennis, regardless of its proclaimed individuality, embodies team spirit and attitude among peers. Even in the toughest of matches, the energy of my team has motivated me to play my absolute best, and in each case, I have managed to accomplish a little more as well. These experiences have given me a strong desire to play tennis at the collegiate level. I often take the time to watch live streams of college matches and always see this liveliness among teams, which I, from experience, love to be a part of and follow the journey together.
