Hi, my name is Juan Rozo and I am currently attending Boca Raton Community High School in Boca Raton, FL. I consider myself as being very hard working, disciplined, and motivated both on and off the court. My goal after finishing college is ultimately to become an Air Force Officer and become a pilot. When it comes to character, athletic ability, and academic performance, I hold myself to high standards and it is because of these traits that I believe that I could be a great fit for your team.
As a tennis player, I have had great success throughout Middle School and High School. I have played USTA and ITF tournaments all over the U.S. as well as in other countries. My hard work led me to place in the top 30 in the state of Florida at the beginning of my freshman year (boys 14s). During my Sophomore year I traveled to Colombia and Venezuela to play ITF tournaments in which I had much success. I have also been District Champion for the past two years on my High School Varsity Tennis Team. As an athlete I have great experience which I believe could be very useful to your team.
Not only am I a hard worker on the court, but off the court as well. My academic standards have always been high and it is my priority to maintain good grades. My discipline towards academic performance throughout High School can be seen through various awards like top 5% of my freshman class and The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence (2). I also take AP, Honors, and AICE classes at Boca High where I do very well.
I am also actively involved in extracurricular and community service activities. Programs such as JROTC and Civil Air Patrol have contributed to my leadership skills and have helped me earn more than 300 community service hours. I think it also noteworthy to say that I am fluent in english and spanish which has allowed me to become part of Spanish Honor Society as well as National Honor Society.
Overall I am a very hard working, disciplined, and motivated person whose character, athletic standards, and academic performance could be very useful to your team.
