Hey coaches! I am Maanas Junghare and am glad you decided to view my profile. Hope you all are doing well. I started playing in May of 2018, at the age of 13 having little prior experience. I am now 16 and a 9 UTR. In my current journey, I have grown into a well-developed player.
I have recently played many highly nationally ranked athletes and caused some major upsets. I am an aggressive baseliner who loves coming to the net. I mostly play singles but love to play doubles and have fun, so I make sure to play often in major tournaments. I believe that since I have come so far in such a few number of years that I have a lot of potential to grow as a great athlete and human being every day.
I take my extracurriculars seriously, with having been a part of my high school's National Beta Club as well as Heath Occupations Students of America, for the past 3 years. I regularly help out the coach who teaches in my neighborhood and I love to volunteer in workshops and festivals, the most recent being the Johns Creek Arts Festival where I distributed food and supplies to artists.
My passion for academics matches that of tennis. I have taken as well as am taking several tough yet interesting classes such as AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics and BC Calculus, as well as AP Lang. I am a straight A student and maintain a good work-life balance. Over the past year I have increased my fitness levels and hold my ground well. I am a team player and love group activities and cooperation.
