Going undefeated for the past 2 years in high school tennis has really been a confidence booster for me. It wasn't always like that, we had a strong team my freshman year and I ended up playing line 1 singles the entire season. I played a lot of the top guys in the state and it was close but I wasn't the biggest kid out there, so I couldn't always come out with the win. Our last region match was a tough one for me, I went 3 sets with a kid from Harrison High School and lost 5-7 in the third, losing the entire match for the team. I felt like I let them down, but they were proud of the way i played and fought for the team, and I really felt like that helped me grow as a tennis player and as a team player.
