I am a 5'11" singles player from Lagrange, GA and will be graduating in the class of 2017. I started tennis my sophomore year and made the varsity team for Lagrange High School as a doubles player. So far, I have a total of only 2 years experience playing tennis for my high school and have earned the most improved award as I am now one of the highest skilled players on my team. I have maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout my time as a student and will be taking the SAT in the beginning of 2016.
Personally, I would prefer a college with a good level of expertise and competition in their tennis along with their academic opportunities. I have aspirations of becoming a pharmacist in the future and a school which would be able to provide me the resources to further myself along this path would be excellent. I am interested in the idea of a school further away from home so that I may be able to get out a bit and experience new things, however I would not rule out any college closer to me. A larger school would be nice, and I believe a DIII level university would currently be my most realistic fit for the time being. I honestly would be open to any types of schools at the moment.
As for the team, I am looking for a college with a pretty competitive program. I will be willing to put in any work needed to improve myself or my teammates. I pride myself on being capable to connect with many different types of people and form friendships with those who are willing. I plan on bringing not only my abilities as a tennis player to the team, but also my capability to interact with and encourage others.
