My name is Lucas Mruk and my goal as a tennis player is to play in college and become the best tennis player that I can be. Since I was about 3 years old, I have participated in many different sports such as soccer, tennis, flag football, and basketball. My main sports were tennis and soccer. When I was around 11 years old, I decided to focus solely on tennis as this was my true passion. Since then I have traveled all over the USTA Southern region playing in tournaments year around. Some of the best experiences that I have had with tennis is during team competitions. I have truly loved playing on my high school varsity tennis team and participating in team tournament competitions. I'm looking forward to my senior year on my high school team and will be the captain. There is nothing better than to be a part of a team to help and support each other and to cheer your teammates to victory. Over the years, I have been so fortunate to have had some really great tennis academy coaches. Not only have they been great at coaching tennis but true role models that I looked up too. As an aspiring college tennis player, I'm dedicated and committed to keep improving my game. I'm disciplined to work hard and put in the effort to be the best teammate possible. I'm also a respectful and coachable athlete as well.
