Being team captain and number one varsity for my high school team was an opportunity where I showed my leadership capabilities by organizing team dinners, prayer before matches, leading drills, modeling respect for our coaches and motivate team mates. Although I started in the sport later than most, I have natural athletic ability, drive to excel, and put my all into every tournament, clinic, class and lesson. I am passionate about my sport and am excited to continue to train and improve my tennis skills. I am seeking a team that builds community with coaches who are training me to reach my full potential as a tennis player and a person.
My freshman year in high school, I played mixed doubles with my sister and made it to state. One of our matches was exceptionally close and by the end all the teams had their eyes on us. We locked in and won in a tie break! I still recall the excitement of that match and working together to come out on top. I have played tournaments in men’s doubles and mixed doubles with a UTR of 7.07.
Academically, I would like to pursue a business degree with the goal of running my own business, much like my dad has done. Being an entrepreneur allows for freedom to pursue tennis, mentoring youth, and creativity.
I look forward to a relationship with your school and to be a part of your team’s future success.
