I am a high school senior who has been playing tennis for four years now. I have been on my school's varsity team for the last 3 years and played in the number one doubles, number two singles, and number one singles positions for my team. I have a passion for this sport and it has become one of the things I have worked the hardest for in my life. During the course of my career I have helped lead my team to back to back sectional championship victories along with building a culture of hard work and winning to the program. I have been considered a leader on my team by my coaches and fellow teammates and have used that role to encourage my teammates and make them better with every interaction. Along the way I have also acquired many personal accolades including all-conference and all-area honorable mention my sophomore year, all-conference and all-area recognition my junior and senior years, and moving on individually in the 2023 one singles sectional semi-finals. However, I would not have been able to be as successful as I am without the hardworking in school and characteristics that I hold valuable within myself. I take pride in my academic abilities and perseverance in the classroom that have helped me to earn all A's every semester in high school and accumulate a GPA of 4.233. In doing so, I am able to take this and implement it into my tennis playing style of making smart, yet still aggressive shots to win points and even entire matches over a majority of my opponents. Lastly, my ability to focus in on a match and never give up to the very last point of the match plays to my advantage. Outlasting my opponent to the last winning point and making more, game smart, decisions allows me to be able to play for extremely long match times if my skill alone cannot over power my opponent. This also carries over to my relationship with my teammates as I will always fight for them and work hard to make them the best they can be for the betterment of themselves and the team overall.
