Since the day I first set foot on a court at the age of two, I have always had a love for tennis. I grew up playing basketball, baseball, and soccer, but none of these could match the adrenaline rush and pure enjoyment I received through tennis. Whether I was practicing, training, or studying the game at the professional level, I had, and continue to have, a passion for it that transcends almost every other facet in my life. Maybe that is why I am so determined to continue my career as a tennis player. I have gone through a long list of struggles that attempted to take me away from the game, but my passion never wavered.
A few years ago I suffered an injury to my right shoulder. With a tear in my labrum, I was sidelined for around six months. My ranking dropped, and I lost valuable match experience. As I started to get healthier, I dedicated myself to training and hitting every day. As a result, I have become stronger, quicker, and healthier than I ever was before. My tennis game has improved drastically in the last year or so, and I have no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. With an unmatched competitiveness and fierce will to win, my dream is to continue to better myself at the collegiate level.
