My ITF Tournament program is scheduled from the Head Coach of the Sanchez- Casal Tennis Academy.
I’ve been playing tennis since I was 7 years old and have been competing in Tennis Europe events In under 16 (U16), my best Tennis Europe ranking in 2018 was 203.
I’ve been training at Sanchez-Casal Tennis Academy in Barcelona, Spain since January 2016 when I was 13. My training normally consists of practice for 3 hours of tennis and one hour of fitness (off-court conditioning, with sprints and weight training) 5 days a week.
In January 2019, I was selected as part of an elite group of Sanchez-Casal Academy players to participate in a special high altitude pre-season training program for 10 days. This was an intensive conditioning period designed to improve strength, cardio and mental toughness.
I have been working very hard in the last months in developing and unleashing my potentials physically in explosive powerful tennis performance, doing extra physical conditioning off-court, as well as working on my mental game to better cope with intense matches and stressful competitions. I am gaining confidence and am finding myself better mentally prepared and determined to win in the competitions.
At the same time being part of an advanced level tennis team, practicing together in the Academy Sanchez-Casal or competing together in a tournament gives me the inspiration to be part of the whole success of the team -- a feeling, which I want to keep in the future as a member of your tennis team and one of the reasons I am most looking forward to university tennis.
I can describe myself as a very explosive, powerful tennis player, who feels comfortable at the baseline as well as at the net. My greatest strengths are my tactical skills and my work ethic on and off-court aiming at 100 % performance all the time. You will always see me fighting for the victory and giving 100% effort in every match and every practice session. My weapons as a player are my excellent tennis technique, footwork in combination with my fast transition from the baseline to the net. I’ve been working very hard the past 6 months on my transition to the net. When I hit an aggressive forehand and get my opponent in trouble I’m advancing immediately forward and finishing the point with a volley. I’ve also been mixing in an occasional serve and volley. Becoming more comfortable at the net has dramatically improved the results of my double.
My motto is: ”The more sweat in the practice, the less blood loss in the battle.”
Getting to play college tennis excites me, because I’ll be surrounded by a team of good players and will be getting excellent coaching. My goal is to make the starting line-up in both singles and doubles as a freshman. I’m looking forward to working hard on my game over the next year to achieve that goal.
It would be great to get more information from you regarding your College and its tennis program. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to be able to visit your campus in the future, too.
Sincerely,
