Personal Statement
Dear Coach:
My name is Marco Uson, a binational US-Spanish Citizen.
I was born in 2001 and I have been playing tennis, since I was a young kid.
For me to be able to study in a US University and play college tennis participating in tournaments at the highest level, would be a dream made true.
During 2015-2016 I have done my secondary school studies in Madrid (Spain) at the CAR “Centro de Alto Rendimiento” (High Performance Sports Center School) which is a very special and exclusive school only for the best athletes in Spain. While in Madrid I have been training with coaches like Jesus Manteca and Tati Rascón, who is now the Director of the Madrid Tennis Federation.
Regarding my game, I could say that I am a pretty aggressive , creative and peculiar player. Im this regard, I have developed a serve and volley game that I now use a lot. I like chip and charging too. I am also a double handed player, meaning that I play with both hands on both sides, whether I play forehand or backhand. From the baseline, my backhand is probably my best shot, and I usually try to dominate the game with it, punching really hard with this side. I would also like to mention that I have a variety of forehand shots that I normally use as a tool in order to finally get into the net , or finally catch with my very offensive backhand. I enjoy very much the singles game , but I feel that my game is really well adapted to doubles.
My first option in terms of University careers is Business. I would like to study that career and relate it to my other great passion which is music production. In fact I am music producer and I have released my tracks on different records labels from all around the world. You can access my music and profile on (http://fanlink.to/marcouson). I consider myself an open minded person and social person, since I have lived in different countries. In this regard I like knowing new people and cultures, viewing art, and of course, chilling with friends, doing sports, and composing music. I am also a very persistent person aiming to accomplish my goals, the very best as I can, but always with enjoyment and the desire to improve.
