Personal Statement
I am looking for a College in the USA as I know would be a lifetime experience. Colleges in the USA are known for their excellent academic and athletic programs and facilities. For me coming from Cancun, and having the opportunity to live on campus would be an amazing experience and would open me many doors professionally as well as help me grow as a person.
I am 18 years old and have been playing tennis for the last 7 years. Playing tennis has given me many values such as: discipline, responsibility, persistency, and has help me grow up as a person and as an athlete.
I have a lot of collegiate goals, some of them are:
Take advantage of the opportunity to study outside Mexico.
Be a leader of a college tennis team.
Enjoy studying my carreer.
Obtain a very good scholarship.
I think I am a good candidate for any team because I love to play tennis and even more to compete. For me being in a team and the ambience of being in the team and compete is uncomparable. I consider myself as a very competitive and ambitious player and I guess every college coach likes this. I am also a good candidate because I am not only focused in tennis, for me school is very important and a priority.
This year I’ve been participating at AMTP tournaments and I also play few FMT.
AMTP is the Mexican Association of Professional Tennis Players which is a high level competition since all the ATP and Davis Cup players participate. My highest ranking at AMTP has been number 52 and actually I am 78 of the country.
And FMT which is the Mexican Federation of Tennis my ranking is #18 of 21 and under. My highest FMT ranking has been #15 of the nation in 16 and under,#5 of 18 and under and #15 of 21 and under.
I also play three ITF and made to a semifinal of doubles in Panama so I get a pair of ITF points,
