Personal Statement
My greatest passion is tennis and so it is that my greatest aspiration is to compete in the ATP Tour, however, being realistic I know that the odds of doing so are stacked against me. So, if I don't make it big playing tennis on the big stage whatever career I may land-up pursuing will in any event be centred around the great game of tennis, be it for example coaching or operating a tennis academy.
I play tennis with a passion; playing tennis is not a mere hobby or a favourite way to pass time and so I work hard to improve my game. For this reason alone believe that I would be an asset to any college tennis team.
I have an extremely high work ethic which I find more often than not rubs-off on my fellow team mates and pushes them to play with greater intensity.
I am not a great academic scholar so I have to put in a lot of hard work and effort just to achieve an average mark and in some subjects a below average mark. What I lack in the class room I make-up for on the tennis court.
I don't know the character and athletic and academic abilities of any other recruits, but what may set me apart from them is that I am fixated with playing tennis and have sacrificed and will continue to make sacrifices to play the game at the highest level possible.
