Personal Statement
I have just completed my second year at Eastern Illinois University with a cumulative GPA of 3.69, ending the year with straight A's. I want to continue my college career at an institution with strong tennis and business programs. While I aim to play at the Division I or II level, I am also open to exploring opportunities at Division III or NAIA schools.
My decision to transfer is straightforward. I was recruited by a coach for the fall semester, but unfortunately, he had to leave due to a family illness. The new coach who took over in the spring had different values and beliefs, leading me to put myself in the transfer portal.
Since leaving EIU, I have been playing in local tournaments, reaching the semi-finals and finals in two major prize money tournaments ($1,500 and $3,000), consistently winning against high 9 UTRs and 10 UTRs. I am also undefeated in the team league in Norway, playing #1 and #2 singles for my club with a 4-0 record against 9 UTRs.
In addition to competing in tournaments, I am taking two summer classes to stay ahead academically and working as a part-time tennis coach for my club.
