Personal Statement
My name is Matt Pirie. I am a graduate from Wesley College in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. I am a 6'2" left handed tennis player. Since year 9, I played in my school's 1st senior tennis team and was privileged to be vice-captain in my final year. I have also competed in Australian ranking tournaments from the age of 10. I am currently ranked no. 8 in the state for my age group and ranked 669 in Australia in the men's category. My Universal Tennis Rating is a 9.1. My NCAA ID is 2011958354
My GPA is 3.36. I took the SAT back in 2019 and had a composite score of 1110. I am retaking the SAT in March 2021. I have just been awarded a state wide commendation for my final High School exam results and am committed to academic success.
I have had a goal to play College Tennis in the USA since I met my High School Coach who also played College Tennis. I am a hard working, dedicated and coachable tennis player.
I am very keen to experience and more importantly contribute to a tennis program and college life more broadly.
