Personal Statement
My name is Juan Ignacio Perez, and I come from Ecuador. Over the past eight years, I have immersed myself in the exciting world of tennis, where I have forged a path of success and dedication. With a national ranking of 14 in the U-18 category in Ecuador and having ended numerous times as the number one player in the Pichincha state ranking, I have demonstrated my skill and commitment on the courts.
My experience in tennis goes beyond numbers and rankings. I have had the honor of representing my state in the National Games, where my determination, abilities, and teamwork skills led me to win the bronze medal in doubles.
In addition to my tennis achievements, I am also passionate about computer science, especially how it can be applied in the world of sports. I am excited about the prospect of using my programming skills to develop innovative tools that enhance training strategies and player performance analysis.
Managing a rigorous German-Ecuadorian double baccalaureate alongside tennis has sharpened my time management and resilience. I am accustomed to hard work and perform well under pressure.
I am thrilled at the opportunity to demonstrate how my skills and experiences can enrich the college tennis team and contribute to collective success. I am eager to learn and grow in an environment that fosters athletic and academic excellence, and I am committed to giving my all in every aspect of my college life.
