Personal Statement
I am an excellent student - my combined GPA of the first two years in high school is 4.0 and I'm among the top 5% in a generation. The Croatian language is my native, but I'm attending the Italian school where all classes are conducted in the Italian language. There are some funny situations where I learn foreign languages (English and Spanish) using a foreign language (Italian). After ten years of education it has become normal, but in the beginning, it was very difficult and required a lot more effort than if I attended a Croatian school. All this time I have to work hard and not take anything for granted.
I play tennis in a small club that has only one coach who's working very hard and helps me in many ways. As a single man in the organization, he has many duties, he hasn't got much time to work with me continuously so I'm spending a lot of time training on my own and playing against weaker opponents. Nevertheless, in May 2018. I became a national champion in doubles for juniors under 16 years and thus making the biggest success in the history of my club.
For all these reasons, it is my desire to continue education in the USA in superb conditions of one of the great colleges and, at the same time, to discover my boundaries in tennis with systematic and hard work and participating in the team of quality players and coaches.
I am a person of strong character, one that you can be proud to represent your University both in and out of uniform.
