Personal Statement
Winning the GPS premiership in my junior year made me realise my true passion for tennis. Throughout that season, my commitment and sacrifices helped me get the “Most wins in a season” award. This has continued into my senior year, where I was named Captain of Tennis, leading our team in the hunt for back-to-back-to-back premierships. By being easy to coach and adaptable, it has allowed me to focus my energy into supporting my teammates with their development as players as well as my own.
However, my passion for tennis extends beyond what I do on court. I’ve spent countless hours watching and analysing professional tennis matches, figuring out what each individual player does to gain an edge. I’ve also worked in a tennis shop for almost 2 years, learning to string and growing my knowledge about all things tennis. Although playing tennis at college is a priority, I remain focused on my studies and I am looking for a college that challenges me academically as well as athletically.
