My name is Brady Bilyeu and I am a 5’9 tennis player in the class of 2020 from University Heights Academy in Hopkinsville, KY. As a sophomore, I was able to become the region runner up in doubles and make it to the state tournament. I have won one USTA singles tournament and made it past the first round in many others. I was selected to the All Kentucky New Era Boys tennis team by the local newspaper as a freshman and sophomore and also selected to the all region team as a sophomore in doubles.
My inspiration of playing tennis came from my grandfather and father as they both played tennis in high school and I loved playing with them when I was young. Tennis has been my hobby and commitment since I was in 6th grade.
I feel like I am a great team player as I am able to get along with my teammates an adapt to many tough situations. I am hard working and dedicated to the sport and will never give up, no matter the circumstances. I work hard day in and day out to improve at tennis. Tennis has taught me moral principles such as honesty, trust, and patience.
Finally, academics are a huge part of my life. I attend a college preparatory school with a strong emphasis on academics and preparing their students for college. I am certain that the right school that emphasizes athletics and academics is waiting for me to contribute to their team. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
