What makes me different from most players trying to play college tennis is that I have had the opportunity to learn under my late coach Kyle Jackson on how to be a part of something bigger than myself. My goal as a tennis player and a student athlete is to always be the best that I can be and I understand that is not always trying to be the best at everything. I understand my strengths and weaknesses well, and although it was not always the case I learned that where the team needs me is more important sometimes than where I personally want to be. I want to be in an environment where I can be competitive and everyone else around me is pushing me to work hard and where I can push others to work hard as well. I leave everything on the court and when I put my mind to it, I know how to win even if it is ugly. I am not afraid to speak up when something needs to be said and I welcome criticism on and off the court. No matter where I am i will give my all and i expect the same from my teammates and the people who i surround myself with.
