My name is Joe Knieper. I am a senior at Corunna High school. I have played tennis for two years. Throughout high school I have participated in bowling, tennis, and FFA. Prior of high school I was homeschooled and participated in scouts and karate. Currently, I am an Eagle scout and a 3rd degree black belt. In FFA, I have been on the leadership team and won state my 10th grade year. I hope my other involvements and level of achievement in those areas demonstrate that I am incredibly coachable, determined to be successful, goal driven, and hard working.
During my 2021 season I played #2 doubles going 4-8 and during the 2022 season my main spot was #4 singles going 6-3 but also having to sub at #2 doubles for 3 matches where I lost all three. I also played #3 singles for a match and lost. At our 2021 team banquet I was awarded most improved player. We have not had our 2022 banquet.
Tennis was never a part of my life growing up but playing the past two years has been a great experience for me. I realize I have set big goals for myself to play on the collegiate level but that is nothing new for me. I have grown to really enjoy this sport, want the chance to continue to be apart of a team, and grow under a great coach.
