Moving to the ITF High Performance Center in Morocco when I was 14 was a major changing point in my life. In terms of tennis and my personal lifestyle I can say I have massively changed. I learnt at an early age to be independent and continuously manage myself, even through tough times and without my parents. It has made me a very adaptable person and someone who appreciates what they have. Many people around me have mentioned how rational I am and I think that is one of the qualities of proudest of along with being very open-minded. Being able to train with the best African players of my age around instilled a strong sense of competitivity in me and a will to continuously improve and push myself.
I hope to be able to bring these positive values with me as a player and also as a student as I join a university in the United States. I'm sure that having been able to train in a similar environment to the one of a college player will be greatly beneficial for the team and be an all-round advantage.
