Match highlights I started playing tennis in my 9th grade year in high school. I first picked up a tennis racket that spring and I tried out for the team. I was placed on the “B Team”, but through the people I’ve played with and my drive to become a better athlete, I've come to realize how much I enjoy playing at a competitive level. It’s my goal to make the varsity doubles team this spring season.
I grew up playing many different sports such as hockey for 6 years, golf for 5 years, and skiing for 12 years. I am a very coachable athlete and have been taught many skills from other sports that carry over to tennis such as my hustle and flexibility. Coaches and teammates have complimented my leadership skills and positive influence on the team.
In the classroom, I'm focused on academics and challenge myself in advanced placement courses. I was introduced to the saxophone in 5th grade which I played throughout middle school and my first year in high school, advancing to play a solo in one of my 9th grade concerts.
I grew up in Minnesota with my parents and two siblings. We enjoy summers on the lake and traveling to different National Parks in the US and other countries. My favorite trip was to Jamaica because of our adventurous excursions, their laid-back lifestyle, and the warm weather!
I’m looking forward to playing tennis at the collegiate level. Currently, I’m practicing 5-7 days a week during the offseason. This includes practices, matches, tournaments, summer camps, lifting in the weight room, and getting outside to hit balls with my friends. I’m looking forward to exploring colleges and their tennis programs.
