Hello to any prospective college coaches looking at my profile. My name is Sam Gowan and I am currently in my sophomore year. I will be graduating in 2015. My desired major is Physical Therpy, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing. I have a GPA of 3.73. I am looking for a school that has a thriving tennis program, but also a school that has a great education. Education is my priority because I am a student-athlete, student first. I just started playing tennis but already I am in love. I started my freshman season on varsity, but my coach moved me down to junior varsity to get more experience. In the long run it was a great idea. I ended up playing 3rd singles and winning the conference championship as a freshman. This year as a sophomore I am on the varsity team. After every practice I hit with my coach and we work on all things. I am always working to improve my game. My coaches say that they like me as a player because I am coachable, a hardworker, and I have the desire to play. My strategy that I play is textbook. Which is where I play defensive until I get an offensive shot and I take it and I finish the point. My coach and I have been working on approaching and finishing since the season started, in my next video I will show that. I am working hard everyday to get better and to one day achieve my dream, to be a collegiate athlete. If any schools are interested I would love to talk (via email or phone). Tell me about your program, and most importantly, your school. Thank you for reading this and hopefully we will be in touch.
