Personal Statement
I am a 5' 11" senior with a 3.56 GPA at Starkville Christian School in Starkville, MS. I will graduate May 11, 2012. There is no tennis program at my school but I have been playing USTA tournaments for seven years and am currently the #2 18 and under in Mississippi.
Although I have had great coaching, I live in a small town with limited hitting partners. I often travel 2-3 hours on weekends to practice with fellow junior players. I look forward to seeing how my game will grow from hitting daily with competitive players. I have played high school basketball during the tennis off-season for four years, so I know and appreciate what it takes to be a team player. I am a hard worker and will work my heart out for the team.
I plan to pursue a Master's degree in Physical Therapy after getting my Bachelor's degree in Pre-Physical Therapy or Business Administration. I am interested in schools that offer an excellent academic atmosphere along with an opportunity to contribute to a tennis program.
