Hi, I'm Tyler. I'm a freshman that has been playing tennis competitively for the past 3 years, and I love the sport. Every time I'm on the court, whether it be for practice, a match, or just a casual hitting session with my dad, I always try to play my best, no matter the situation. When I am in a tough place by being behind during a match, I never throw the towel in. Before most of my points I complete my ritual which consists of me jumping up and down, stretching my arms, smacking my leg (if necessary), and bouncing the ball for when I am serving. During my matches I always believe in myself and fight for every single point, even when all odds are against me.
I started playing competitive tennis very late which has been a set back, however to make up for my lost time I have been playing tennis 6 or 7 days every single week in order to attain my dream to play tennis at the college level. I'm a natural leader who tends to lift people up when they are down on and off the court, whether they're my friend or my teammate; I enjoy making others feel good.
After the first few months of my high school career in the classroom I'm an all A student that takes several honors level courses and I plan on taking many more, in addition to some AP courses. Balancing academics with my athletics has been part of my success on and off the court, because I have good time management skills which allow me to focus on two very important attributes about me at the same time.
I now have a long road ahead of me full of ups and downs, and I'm ready for whatever my journey throws at me because I am dedicated.
