I have played tennis since I started elementary school, throughout the ten years I've played the sport my drive to excel and get better has grown.
I have been focusing on my academics AP's and SAT's during my junior year.
Currently, I mainly practice in private lessons and clinics, as well as playing for my varsity school team, I have not played USTA tournaments during my junior year due to my focus on academics in parallel. Although this affects my statistics such as my UTR and USTA ranking, I plan to play after the bulk of my work is done in my junior year to show my progress as well as my improvement in my overall game .
I am looking at engineering programs across the country, and I would like to have a balance between tennis and academics in college. Through tennis I have progressively developed both my game and myself, and I understand the value of hard work and tenacity.
I am willing to learn and am keen to put in the effort to be the best I can, I look forward to working with coaches to understand my options and perform with my full potential in college tennis.
