I am writing this statement to express my sincere interest in playing tennis at the collegiate level. I know that competitive level tennis will help me deepen my love and passion for the game while providing me with an opportunity to push my limits, enhance my skills, and learn from experienced coaches and teammates. What makes me a great candidate for your team is my perseverance and natural athleticism. For example, I currently drive 2 hours twice a week for private lessons with one of my coaches. What makes me different from other recruits is my discipline, resilience, and hard work. My work ethic stands out in everything I do both on and off the court. I always give 110%. I have played multiple sports at the varsity level. I am very coachable and a great leader and was named varsity captain of both my high school soccer and tennis teams. I do all this while maintaining a 3.5 GPA in the classroom with multiple AP and honors classes. I am also team-oriented and always strive to build a strong relationship with my coaches and become a great teammate. In conclusion, I am excited for the opportunity to further my athletic and academic career and truly appreciate your consideration.
