Dear coaches, My name is Ryan Mudre, and I believe I can be a great canditate for your team. I'm shy at first, but once you get to know me i'm very outgoing and upbeat. I am a captain on my high school tennis team and love to bring the vocallity to a team atmosphere, especially when it's intense and a high level of play. I always try to encourage my peers on my team to work harder and, always try to be a good role model in what I do, and show them that you have to work in order to get the results you want. As a player, I play left handed, I would describe my game as a counterpuncher. I like to use others power to generate my own. Being short, I don't hit huge on either side off the ground, but I am working everyday at it. I believe I have a great doubles game. Slice, volley, serve, and return. I am ranked 2nd in Ohio in tennis recruiting for my class, 15th in the widwest for my age group, and 149th in my class in the nation. As far as academics go, I am the type of student to always work hard in the classroom and bring everything that I can to the table. I have an accumulative GPA of 3.3 throughout high school, with a few honors and AP classes but not a ton. I recently just ook the ACT and am waiting to hear back on scores, I plan to take it again along with the SAT. Overall, the reason I am different from others you may recruit is, I am willing to work and push myself to the limit to maximize my potential, and I am a great leader on and off the court. From when I first picked up a raquet when I was eight years old, I knew it was the sport for me, because I recognized that love for the game at a young age. My father played college tennis at Bowling Green State University, and he learned from my grandpa. I guess you could say it runs in the family. Playing division one collegiate level tennis is my dream, but I am interested any other divisions greatly.
