Stanley Zgurski '24 Recruiting Profile

First off, my name is Stanley Zgurski by I prefer to go by Austin which is my middle name. My goals for college is to pursue a Business degree in Marketing. I also want to continue my tennis passion and experience esports. I have been doing both most my life, but tennis is the one thing that I enjoy the most. Preparing, practicing, playing, and experiencing tennis is something I will never let go of. What makes me a good candidate for their teams? Well, I have experience in being a leader and a captain on both teams. I have been a varsity number 1 seed for 4 years on the tennis team and 2 years on esports. I recollect myself during matches and push myself over 100%. The famous quote, "practice makes perfect" by Bruce Lee is the one thing I do most. I overcame the challenge of having a bilateral cleft lip and palate and was able to reach the top despite the minimal resources. I make the best of what I have given to me. Something special people need to know about me is that I have experience in multiple sports, so this benefits my playstyle and mental state. The sports I have experience in is football, basketball, soccer, baseball, ping-pong, cross-country, swimming, and of course tennis. You could count esports, but that is the psychological sport which I exceed in. If we speak academically, I have received A's and B's every year of school and have received perfect writing scores in florida state testing. I was accepted into National Honors Society as well. I was a late bloomer in puberty and building my body, but I have recently been growing and working out properly. After all is said, I hope this helps to know me based on my experience in sports and academics. Thank you!
