Me:
I, Tyler Scott Calhoun, love and enjoy tennis. It like a passion that I practice as though it is an every day task. I am an honest player that will stand for what is right and not wrong. I love to self-motivate myself to achieving my goals in tennis. I keep my cool if something frustrates me and let it go. Tennis to me has been my life for a long time now and I just want to keep exceeding my potentials and go to the next level. I am agile, tactical and have a lot of endurance. I will never give up even if I am losing. I will strive to show my skills toward players and coaches. I never drop my head in shame if I lose I keep my head high and show good sportsmanship by shaking my opponents hand afterwards and saying good match. I have high stamina which allows me to keep myself energized every second I play. I am a player unlike means of any other tennis player I have seen.
Skills and Awards: I am currently playing #1 Singles for my school.
In my years of playing tennis, my passed 2 years have been my best. I have a total of 6 first place medals, 1 second place medal, 3 third place medals, and 4 consolation medals. My standards are high to coaches from my region. I make good relationships with a coaches and they know what to expect out of me when I play at a tournaments.
My academics:
I am currently a 3.1 GPA student. I am in or school's Leadership program. In this class we work on building character and setting ourselves up for our futures. My teacher has us doing speeches so that we can be prepared for college reports that we must take in front of the class. This is helping me know what it will be like so i am more independent. This class has built my character and life habits for 5 years now and has motivated me to be a better person. I must have atleast 50 volunteer hours every semester for the class. Last year for the first semester i had a total of 159 volunteer hours and the next semester I had 85 hours. This dropped because I was allowed to count summer volunteer hours towards the first semester. Last semester this year of 2015 I had a total of 72 hours. Also our class is an opportunity for anyone to get support or guidance for the future. I enjoy my chemistry and math class the most. Chemistry is a class I was prepared for since 9th grade and was excited, others were just kind of eh about it. Math is a subject I've always loved and enjoyed. These two subjects helped me think of careers and I have set my mind to certain tasks. I have 2 secondary back-up plans if I don't like my 1st major. This has brought up a system our school has used for a few years now, we use the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People at our school. I use this system to utilize myself and organize myself. They teach me how to be even more independent within my life.
This is why I believe you should choose me for your tennis program.
