I began playing tennis when I was fourteen years old. Although I have excelled at many sports including baseball, basketball, football, golf, and soccer I enjoy the fast pace and quick decision-making that tennis demands. I have surpassed many opponents that began playing tennis at a young age just in the past three years that I have been playing competitively. My coach, Trey Ambrose, has developed me as a player that will peak in college, not plateau. I possess the size, agility, and athletic ability to become a DIV I athlete over the next few years. Thanks to playing team sports throughout my life, I have the natural ability to partner as an excellent doubles player as well. My ultimate dream has always been to play men's collegiate tennis and contribute my athleticism to a team.
As evidenced by my profile, my academic record speaks for itself. In the classroom, I am known for my work ethic and commitment to excellence. I enjoy solving a complex math problem or proofreading an essay. I have to credit my parents and teachers for providing me with a solid foundation on which to build my education. I have worked very hard over the past 5 years in my school and community to become who I am today, but I am ready to belong to something bigger. I am confident with these attributes I could contribute to a men's collegiate tennis team in my quest to become my best.
"Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives - choice, not chance, determines your destiny." - Aristotle
