Ryan Martinez '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, I'm pretty sure I know what you guys are thinking... what does this everyday tennis player from a small city have that many other collegiate players and professionals don't?  My name is Ryan Martinez and tennis is what I'm good at, when I was in middle school I participated in many sports from football all the way to track but tennis wasn't on my mind. I still never felt whole and satisfied. Then, my friends introduced me to tennis. At first I thought it was okay but then I attended my first game and immediately fell in love with the sport.  

What has been keeping me going through this journey is the amount of support I have from my family and friends and my drive to be the best I can be. I'm passionate, dedicated and I will never give up until the point is over. Commitment is key in my perspective and I think I have what it takes not just to lead the team with my determination, but to help myself become an active and beneficial role in the college life, whether it's academically, or on the court.
