I have been playing tennis since I was 8 years old, looking forward to one day having the chance to play college tennis. I've always wanted to play in college because I felt like it was a realistic goal for me, and that my game was good enough to be able to compete at that level. Working hard at this sport has never been a burden to me because I love playing. I also do my best in school, and every year in high school I have retained a 3.8 gpa.
Tennis has taught me that hard work can't pay off if you don't have the right attitude. I learned this because my main struggles growing up were that I worked hard, but I wasn't confident. However, the last couple of years have taught me to put that aside, and focus on the goal. I think this is a useful skill not only in tennis but in life, so I'm grateful for all the struggles I had. My current ranking on tennis recruiting is 776 in the nation, and I'm a 2 star, with a 8.2 UTR.
I would be a good candidate for a college team, because I have a strong work ethic, I'm committed to sports and school, and I'm not the type of player that makes a habit of missing practice.
