I have only been playing tennis competitively for about three years now. I used to pick up a racket here and there when I was much younger, during a time when I had a deep interest in playing soccer at a competitive level. I played baseball and basketball during this time as well, but when I played my first tennis tournament at thirteen, I was drawn to the sport and developed a significant desire to play at a collegiate level.
I have a great all-round game, along with a lot of athleticism and natural talent. I make an effort to play tournaments around once a month, even though it is quite arduous dealing with the hassle of traveling long distances. I am very coachable and enjoy taking advice, for both my game and life in general. I am always striving to improve myself on and off the court.
In the classroom, I have been able to maintain a relatively high 3.8 GPA while taking a mix of several AP and honors courses. I approach my studies with the same dedication as I do my tennis, always looking for ways to learn and grow academically.
