Tennis has been a part of my life since before I was born. I first had the inspiration to play tennis from my mom who played varsity tennis for the University of Washington, in Seattle. When I was about 12, I got the opportunity to go to the French Open, which was life-changing for me. It opened my eyes to a new perspective and showed me what I could do with my ever-changing skill and how hard work eventually pays off. I currently do not have a USTA ranking, however, I was ranked in the Pacific Northwest Region in the U16's. I continued to play competitive tennis and work on my game, but my focus at that time was on my schoolwork.
I have not always played with dignity and grace. This past year I have greatly developed my mental game which has significantly help me improve my performance. I have grown and matured in my sports, my studies and my personal life. I have a strong desire to work hard and challenge myself. My goal is to play to play college tennis while continuing my education in film or business. I feel I have only started to be the best tennis player, student and person I can be and know that I will be a valuable addition to any team.
