Hi, my name is Harry Plataniotis, and playing tennis is a true passion of mine. It has taught me the importance of persistence, teamwork, and keeping a positive attitude when facing challenges. When I play for the Skyline varsity school team or compete in a tournament, I approach the game as a collaborative effort. Supporting my friends and teammates, offering feedback, and discussing winning strategies is what makes tennis a team sport for me.
Tennis has taught me valuable life skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, and performing under pressure. I used to get nervous during high-pressure moments in both tennis and academics, but learning to trust myself has improved my confidence in all aspects of life.
I practice six times a week and complement my training with three extra fitness sessions weekly. Participating in monthly USTA tournaments allows me to enhance my skills and compete at a high level. I'm equally dedicated to achieving academic excellence, taking advanced math courses, and participating in the IB program.
I'm excited to take my game to the next level and continue to grow as a player and teammate on a college tennis team. With my technical skills, positive attitude, and commitment to teamwork, I'm confident that I can make a valuable contribution to your program.
