I have always dreamed to play tennis with the biggest names in the sport possible. I grew up watching Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray dance across the baseline with the grace of a ballerina and the strength of a football player. When I watched the US Open for the first time when I was 8 years old, I knew I wanted to play tennis. I have always been on the larger side and, when it came to tennis, this made me at a disadvantage compared to my fellow players. I wasn’t going to let this stop me however. I trained my legs and my stamina in order to equal my size and it greatly increase my performance on the court. I think that is my greatest quality as a player: I will go the distance to make my court performance the best it can. School as always came easy for me, but I tend to procrastinate on things that have distant due dates. I have been working on this by prioritizing what I need to do by making lists and a daily planner and it has worked beautifully. I love tennis, I love learning, and I love developing my skills.
