CCS Top 8 Invitat...Personal Statement
Growing up in the Santa Cruz mountains, I have been running on the trails since I was 12 years old and have aspired to run at the collegiate level ever since. I believe that running in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
My coach will attest to my work ethic and passion for running. I train hard year-round, contribute as a team leader, and I am very coachable. I strive to be one of the hardest working runners on my team. I am coming from a high school with a low mileage program, so I am confident that as my mileage increases I will respond!
In the classroom, I work hard and maintain a high GPA which is currently 3.87. During my senior year, I am the National Honors Society President and Senior Class Vice President. I am also a Link Crew Leader, helping with Freshman Orientation.
While I have really liked living in California, one goal that I have is to attend college away from home. My goal is to find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. If given the opportunity, I will not let you down.
