Hello, I am Keola Sylva, I have been active with track since junior high and I've always been an avid jumper. All throughout my middle school year, I have participated in long jump and 100m hurdles, but the event I soon came to love, which happened in high school, is the triple jump and pole vault. The story of my journey towards track starts off with my sister, she has always had a huge influence on me. There isn't any crucial explanation on why joined track, I just believed that since she was doing track, I should too. The irony in this, is that I have the same effect on my little brother, he too has signed up for track because of me . Not only do I have influential people around me, but I try to push my classmates as well. For example, we would hold little competitions whenever we have a heavy sprinting day. This process involves finishing quicker and most importantly, pushing one another to become the best of our abilities. Besides being active on the field, I strive to be at the top of my game in my classroom. Little note about myself; I tend to be a perfectionist at times, and if I ever saw my grades drop, I would do everything in my power to bring it back up. For extracurricular activities, I participate in our schools engineering club, and we've made a few rockets and are now working on an E-bike, but the group of people has a magical vibe and we tend to steer off course at times. None the less, they're bright minded people and we are all determined to complete the task..... eventually. I have successfully given you a glimpse of my lifestyle, and I am ecstatic to be part of your campus, one day.
