Duke Hemsley '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello to all Coaches my name is Duke Hemsley I am the Capitan of the throws team for Millikan High School, and I love this sport more than anyone out there. One of my biggest inspirations to throw is my grandfather Jim Hemsley, he was the first high school thrower coach  to get his kids 70+ feet. That amazed me and I really wanted to get to that level and show my grandfather that throwing is in our blood. Also whether we are out drilling or in the weight room I give my 110% whether that is helping teammates break down the throw, or hyping them up for that last rep of squats. I am a leader and always have been. I strive to be a model wherever I go and hope that one day I can be a captain of a college team with welcoming teammates.
