Oscar Hernandez '14 Recruiting Profile

I am from Los Angeles,CA I attend Manual Arts High school my grad year is 2014 l am a Senior I have been running cross country for 3 years and track for 1 year going for my 2nd year this upcoming season in my senior year spring 2014. I have competed at high level Divison 1 competing at Cross Country LA City Final Prelims two years in my junior and senior years and also competed at the Footlocker West Regionals two years. I set my fastest pr in distance 3 miles at the Mt.SAC XC Invitational of 16:40 setting school history and becoming the fatest time in school history for cross country earning two Cross Country MVP of the team. For track as my first season I placed 1st place in the 3200meter becoming the distance champ of the Coliseum League where I set my fastest track pr of 10:25 in the 3200meter and 4:40 in the 1600meter and competed in Track LA City Prelims in my first year in track in my junior year setting school history in track distance and cross country for Manual Arts High School receiveing an award for Most Valuable Runner being one of the best distance runners in school history. I still have half of my senior year entering my second semester of school and this upcoming season for winter and spring I will work hard to improve more and set faster pr's and reach my goal of reaching state. On my own time I also do 5k and 10k races to improve my pr and because I love running and love competing and getting better. My goal is to compete at college level after High School and the states I would like to go to college are California,Nevada, and Oregon and my major I would like to major in is Criminal Justice/ Police Law Enforcement.
