I'm a small town distance runner with big ambitions and a solid work ethic. I’ve dominated my track division since the end of freshman year and competed at the highest level within my section as a Varsity runner. The same goes for cross country which I started competing in my junior year. My small town of 3,000 people and the limited resources of my small school have enabled me to be a more creative and self-driven athlete. When my head coach retired sophomore year I took it upon myself to study training methods and execute the right workouts. I have taken a position of leadership as team captain of the track and cross country team, where I create training schedules and direct distance training. I have had massive improvements every year in my running abilities. More specifically, in the 1600m where I’ve improved by 10 seconds every year for three years. My most recent time in the 1600m is 4:34. I’m determined to run even faster times this year. I want to be remembered in my community, set records, and inspire other runners.
