Personal Statement

Starting my senior year at Murrieta Mesa High School is both challenging and exciting as there are many things I still want to accomplish. I have challenged myself throughout my high school career by taking advanced placement classes and I am proud to be in the top 23% of my class.  I have excelled in my classes due to hard work and dedication. The love for learning I have carried throughout high school and I hope to continue at a university that will help me grow as a student and as a person.

This is my third year participating in my schools student government class called USB (United Student Body). I have planned and led many events at MMHS which include dances, rallies, elections, and other after school tournaments like volleyball. I love being involved with my school as it keeps me in touch with some of my greatest friends and administrators which teach me ways to become a leader now and in the future.

As for cross country and track, it is one of the most important activities in my high school career.  I am a senior leader on the team and I strive to be the leader that my entire team will look up to. I work very hard in my sport giving it my all six days a week with practice and overall dedication of a varsity athlete. I want to continue to run throughout college so I can continue to improve and fall even more in love with the sport.

My personal ambitions are what have set me on my path. As long as I can remember I have wanted to fly and for that reason I am now working to become a pilot. It is a highly competitive field of work and I am getting a head start. I am currently taking flight lessons at a small community airport and love every moment of gaining my flight hours.

My goals over the next year are to continue my leadership skills on and off of my high school campus. I hope to grow as an athlete and continue to improve with new PR’s at my races. I will continue my search for the school that best suits my needs along with a school that I can contribute to as an active student. I want to continue an active student life at the school I plan to reside at for the next four years of my life.
