My name is Ryan Orton and I am currently a student at Ontario Christian High School. I am a hard working student and athlete striving to better myself. I believe I am a diverse person. I am in AP classes along with band with a passion for music. My current GPA is 3.8 and I am determined to be the best student that I can be as my parents have told me that the grades come first then sports. I am striving to be the best athlete that I can be and with the help of my teammate and coaches I know I will come out on top.
Here is a little background on my running career so far. I started running as a freshman on the JV cross country team and as the season progressed I became the number 4 runner on varsity. I received the most improved runner for the 2013 cross country season. Also, my freshmen track season was a success where I was awarded the rookie of the year for running the 800, 1600, 3200 and an alternate on the 4x400. My best times for now are a 2:06 in the 800m, 4:53 in the 1600m and 10:53 in the 3200m. I ran my best 3-mile race at the Woodbridge Classic with a time of 16:33. I work hard to continue to improve my times each year and believe that I can make an impact on which ever college I attend.
I am striving to become a physical therapist after college as my personal experience from my injury has shown me the pathway to my dream. As an injured athlete you may sometimes feel emotionally broke and I want to help people through that hard part in their lives as the physical injuries sometimes heal faster than the mental part. I also enjoy helping people in need through community programs such as Gods Pantry.
I am looking forward to my track season and my final year in high school to see my hard work and dedication to my academics and athletics pay off. I am looking forward as another chapter will soon begin in college.
Thanks and look forward to talking soon.
