At first, I joined track for pe credits since my usual sport is badminton and my school didn't offer that. But I found out that running is tons of fun especially since I got to meet all these new people that dedicated themselves to this sports. Throughout the season I was pumped to be able to compete for my school and to become a better runner. I put in lots of practice at school and at home and I was overall happy with my results this season. Although I wasn't able to achieve my goal of breaking 5 minutes in the 1600m, I was able to greatly improve my running and meet a whole new community. I am looking forward a lot to Cross Country this fall and track again next year. Although I know I'm far from being the best, I still want to be able to compete in college. Adding on, the 2023 track season was the first time I ran seriously and I think I was able to do pretty well. With more training and hard work, I think I have potential to become a lot better.
