Running has always motivated me to do my best in all aspects of my life. Running has truly aspired me to compete in track and field and Cross Country events, and work hard to achieve good times. I truly strive to PR in every event, especially the 1600 and 3200-meter races. However, because of Covid-19, it has become harder to race officially. But this hasn't stopped me from training hard to run well when races do come back on. Covid-19 has shown me that when things get tough to truly succeed you must work hard but also smart. Apart from running, I work very hard in school as well. I work hard to get A's and do well in my classes. I am a big learner and whether it is going to school or going to practice I enjoy learning new things and building character.
Sadly I was not able to finish my Sophmore track and field season due to Covid-19, but I have continued to work hard since then. I aspire to run well for my Junior year. My goals mostly center around a sub-16:30 for XC 5K and a 10:00 3200m/ 4:30 1600m. My coach is certain that I can run those goals if I work hard and focus on what's important. Coming into my Junior year I will make sure to stay focused and also work hard but also smart as to not injure myself.
