My name is Peter Sandoval, I am a Senior at Orange Vista High School. I am an 800m runner, but I also have experience in the 400 and the 1600. Furthermore, I am a part of our school’s top 4x400 relay team. I have been running for my school since freshman year, but I also ran XC in middle school and participated in the 100-mile club during elementary. Growing up I wasn’t the fastest out of everyone, but over time, through constant training and workouts, I have shown tremendous improvement in my times, as well as my overall health. I plan on continuing my education at a higher level, preferably to study Kinesiology and/or mathematics. Although there are many colleges and universities in the world, my goal is to not only attend the University of Oregon but to run for them as well. I’m known to be a hard worker, I was raised in a household where we value our morals and stress the importance of maintaining a good life. Furthermore, we always made sure to work for our goals, not just wish for them. Through running I have been able to strengthen my body, as well as my mind, and not only help me be a better runner but a better person as well.
